How the hotel score works

Scores are rounded and bounded between 35% and 98%. With no non-price priority selected, the priority component uses a neutral 60%. Price is handled by the returned-rate filter and lowest-rate sorting, not an automatic preference point. The score is not a room-capacity or accessibility check.
Location and amenity evidence
For city access, a Dumaguete property within 1.5 km straight-line of Rizal Boulevard receives full location credit. Listed dining or shuttle service earns partial credit. Beach and pool preferences require a corresponding amenity tag. Small property size and quieter destinations earn only partial quietness credit; noise is unverified. Review preference requires a score of at least 8.5 and ten reviews.
Availability, budget and dates
The tool requests availability for a maximum of 30 shortlisted database properties. It displays returned properties whose nightly rate falls inside the selected budget interval. This limited search is not all market inventory. Agoda confirms final availability, room occupancy, taxes, fees and cancellation terms.
Without travel dates, the check uses one night starting 15 days from today. That is a sample-date check, not confirmation for your future trip. “Lowest price” sorts the available shortlist by returned nightly rate.
Distances and destination links
Hotel cards use hotel coordinates and stored attraction reference points to calculate straight-line distances. Road, walking and boat routes are longer and may require different access points. Attraction-directory links show hotels for a destination, not a radius-filtered selection for that individual attraction.
Tour estimate assumptions
The displayed allowance is a group total: (days × ₱4,200 + route allowances) × (1 + 0.10 × travelers beyond two). The displayed range is 88% to 115% of that value, rounded to ₱100.
Route allowances are city ₱0, Valencia ₱400, Twin Lakes ₱900, Dauin ₱700, Apo Island ₱4,200, Manjuyod/Bais ₱4,700, southern route ₱1,500 and Siquijor ₱4,800. These are model constants, not current operator prices. Pickup, transport preference and pace are passed with the request but do not change the arithmetic. Hotels, flights and any specific package inclusion are not confirmed.
Obtain an itemized operator quotation before spending. Marine operations and access remain conditional. The planner allocates at least one day per selected route so an additional route is not silently omitted.
